So how did I end up interested in stocks and cryptocurrencies? Some of you might recognize the next part of my story. It started with a curiosity for stocks in the summer of 2020 after hearing how the stock market made a sharp recovery in mainstream media. This curiosity started growing and became a fascination. What began as a small project soon has now developed out of hand. After listening to podcasts of Preston psych on bitcoin, I also started getting interested in cryptocurrencies and their impact.

In the beginning, I was mainly focused on the financials and the numbers. How can I get the most return? After some time, the realization dawned on me that investing is much more than something as simple as having the “best gains.” By investing, you are molding the future in a particular form. It is as if you are voting; on its own, your vote is worthless, but together with others, you can force a political change. So where in the beginning, my main focus was to have the maximum gains in my portfolio regardless of the asset; my current goal is to find worthy assets that I expect to bring a brighter future for my friends, family, partner, daughter, son, and of course myself. I genuinely believe that if more investors acquire a similar perspective, we could together make a significant impact. My personal goal is to find those technological assets, which I expect to impact the future positively. Because of this impact, I hope them to be a ten-bagger or more. You might think this is a lofty goal. However, nothing will change if you do not attempt to bring change. I refer you to the legendary Marcus Aurelius:

“A man’s worth is no greater than the worth of his ambitions”
– Marcus Aurelius

After spending much of my free time on investments, I created a proper portfolio tracker for my assets. This is something any serious investor should do. Having all your information visually in one spot makes it possible to reflect on past decisions. A must if you ask me. Without reflection, how else can you likely improve? How else can you avoid making the same mistakes over and over? It was precisely for this reason that I created this portfolio tracker. After a while, I decided it was time to share it with the rest of the world. The result is the creation of CoinAtlas. The rest of the story is known to you.
